Did you know that two thirds of the human body’s weight is made up of water? Did you know that water is the most neglected nutrient in our diet, and is the most vital?

Because our bodies are mostly made up of water, it figures heavily in how our body functions. We need it for digestion and the absorption of food. It regulates our body temperature, carries nutrients and oxygen to cells and removes toxins and other wastes throughout the body. Water also cushions our joints and protects tissues and organs (including the spinal chord) from shock and damage.

Most people do not realize just how powerful water is in the healing process. Our muscles are made up of 75% water. When we are in a “state of dehydration”, muscles will tend to cramp and spasm more often and sustain its shortened position causing pain, headaches and other ailments associated with muscular dysfunction.

The recommended amount of water intake is (8) 8-ounce glasses each and every day. If you are someone who visits the gym or is active with exercising or sports, this amount should be increased accordingly. If you have not been consistently drinking the recommended amounts, you are most likely dehydrated.

To solve the body’s water requirement, simply drink a quart (32oz) of water three times a day: one in the AM, another at midday and the last quart in the PM; making your daily intake 3 quarts. Each bottle should be consumed within 30 minutes of starting. This amount of intake need not be forever, but should be repeated each day until your body restores itself to its proper levels.
