General info regarding the Sun, Moon and New Moon:

New Moon:
During a New Moon, the moon sits between the Earth and the sun, so the sun is shinning on the “dark side of the Moon”, which is the side of the moon we never see. And so the side that faces the earth is not illuminated.

The sun represents our “outer world”, our personality, our ego. He represents how we “shine our light” out into the world and the present moment. It is our Yang or masculine energy and expression.
The Sun offers us strength, courage and illuminated insights of the soul.

The Moon, represents our “inner world”, our hidden emotions, desires, our shadow-self, fears/worries and our dreams.
She represents our feelings, our unconscious beliefs, the past as well as our Yin /feminine energies.
The moon offers us the ability to feel, learn from the past and creatively unlock and express our essence.
